Anglophone teachers

Our mother-tongue English-speaking teachers play are vital to our Bilingual Programme, providing authentic exposure to English as spoken in Anglophone countries. They enhance students’ fluency, pronunciation, and confidence by blending subject expertise with Anglophone teaching methods. Their immersive approach improves academic and social communication while broadening cultural understanding. With years of experience, they customize lessons to suit diverse learning needs, making complex topics engaging, accessible, and enjoyable—ensuring effective and rewarding language learning.

Leadership

Leonor Le Coustumer

As Head of the International Programme, Leonor manages the Bilingual Section and leads the development of its curriculum, working closely with teachers, students, and families to ensure academic excellence and linguistic integration.
Leonor brings over 30 years of international experience having worked in Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Since 2009, she has been actively engaged within the French International Education System, where she has played key roles in fostering bilingual and bicultural learning environments.
She is committed to fostering the Bilingual Programme’s intercultural spirit, promoting openness and global awareness. Passionate about student growth, she supports learners in becoming confident, articulate, and culturally aware individuals.

Deborah Leparc

As Supervisor of the International Programme, Deborah brings over 20 years of experience in international education, bringing a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to bilingual learning.
She holds a Master’s degree in Education from Georgia State University as well as a Master’s degree in History from the University of Chicago. Deborah has spent her career fostering inclusive, dynamic learning environments across the globe and most recently, she worked at the French Lycée in Kuala Lumpur, where she successfully established and coordinated a Bilingual Programme, demonstrating her expertise in curriculum development and cross-cultural education. Her approach is rooted in creating engaging, student-centered classrooms that support language acquisition and academic excellence.
Deborah is excited to bring her passion and experience to Sainte-Marie de Neuilly, where she looks forward to contributing to the growth and success of the Bilingual Programme and inspiring students to thrive in a multilingual world.

Teachers

Victoria Tissot - English and History teacher

Victoria is Franco-American and spent her formative years in Puerto Rico. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in East Asian Studies from Barnard College and studied abroad in Japan. Driven by a childhood dream, she moved to Paris to teach English to children and preteens. Victoria played a key role in the launching of the Bilingual Program at Sainte-Marie de Neuilly. In her teaching, she fosters creativity through writing, presentations and drama, aiming to help students express themselves confidently. She finds joy in watching her students’ progress as they grow into fluent English speakers.

Emily Platzer - Art teacher

Emily is a visual artist and educator based in Paris. She graduated from University College Falmouth, BA Fine Art and holds a Master’s degree from The Royal College of Art. She currently teaches students in secondary and upper school as well as in university settings. Emily is committed to engaging students in a visual arts program that explores both theoretical studies and practiced based processes thus developing students’ creative confidence and independence through an immersive English

Kevin Micheal SCHELLHASE - Music teacher

Kevin Micheal is a professional singer and musician from Washington, DC, USA. He brings a wealth of experience and passion to his teaching, drawing on a rich background in vocal performance and sacred music. At Sainte-Marie de Neuilly, he leads the school’s first immersive English-speaking music class, where he teaches liturgical singing and fosters a deep appreciation for both music and language.
