A Bilingual Education for a Global Future

The Secondary School (Collège) curriculum at Sainte-Marie de Neuilly offers a rich, bilingual education that combines the academic rigour of the French national curriculum with dynamic Anglophone teaching methods. English is taught through a range of subjects—including Biology, Literature, History, Art, and Music—enabling students to learn the language in context while engaging with meaningful academic content. This immersive, interdisciplinary approach promotes not only language fluency but also creativity, critical thinking, and a love for learning.

In Secondary School bilingual students receive weekly classes in English language, literature, history, biology, art, and music. In Troisième, they begin preparing for the Cambridge IGCSE exams in English Literature, Language, History, and Biology, which they complete at the end of Seconde.

The Upper School (Lycée) is designed for motivated and academically capable francophone students seeking a bilingual, bicultural education.
In Seconde, students continue weekly classes in English language and literature, history, and Global Perspectives, with an optional art course in English. They sit IGCSE exams in English Language, Literature, History, and may also take Biology.

In Première and Terminale (Sixth Form), students pursue the Cambridge International Project Qualification (IPQ) and Cambridge Advanced English (CAE). Sainte-Marie de Neuilly is the only school in France currently offering the Cambridge IPQ, which develops students’ research, communication, and critical thinking skills through an independent 5,000-word project. It prepares students for university-level work and is highly valued by higher education institutions.

The Cambridge Advanced Exam certifies English proficiency at CEFR C1 level, equipping students with strong communication skills, academic readiness, and international recognition that supports further study and career opportunities in English-speaking contexts.
